Come on let's dance into the weekend!

Hello Everyone,
Thank you for your comments on my previous. My family is doing better each day :)

So, I found this amazing song by Desperation Band called counting on God; the words are powerful, lovely tune and the instrumentals are just amazing..I need to learn how to play the drums, bass guitar and piano like seriously....The song gets me excited. I love desperation band  alot :-)

P.s The grass might be greener on the other side but you dont know how much the waterbill cost. Quit worrying and looking at other people success. Let it just be a testimony you key into....

P.s.s If the word of God is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path (Psalm 119 vs 105), why are you afraid to obey/trust God? do you really think He will lead you astray? Remember he said "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29 vs 11). Easier said than done ey? Why dont you try for one day not to stress or think about whatever is bothering you and just focus on something wonderful like Paul said, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. And the God of peace will be with you. Try it and lets see how it goes..:-)

2 advice from a loving heart

Hello everyone and welcome :-),
Thanks for your wonderful comment from my previous post. :) I have something to share today. It was more like a revelation from God i like to think.

So I was thinking, why is it so hard for me to forgive and let go even after praying daily and claiming I have? So, something said to me, remember how the bible says when you pray you should believe? well its the same. When you pray and claim to let go of past hurts, you must believe that God has taken control. This is done by rebuking every evil or bitter thought that comes to your mind consigning that situation. This is because if you give attention to those thoughts, you give it more power over your mind and that's how the devil keeps you in bondage thus making you pray about the same thing everyday. Therefore, all you need to do is ask God for His grace to forgive and let go then when thoughts of that incident comes to make you bitter and angry immediately attack it with the word of God by rebuking it and casting to the obedience of Christ. I tell you, this has been working for me so far. Thats one way of letting go.

Another thing is that its okay to have made mistakes, now its time to forgive myself. Also, I must stop dwelling on the "what if" i did it this way or that way maybe things wouldn't have turned out this way. This is because I will never know the outcome of the "what if". So, I must leave it to the one (God) who knows all the "what if" and let Him lead me into the future and trust that He know what He is doing. Also, now that you know, pray that the next time God gives you another opportunity (e.g. a good man/woman, job e.t.c), I will spend my time loving God so much because its only in loving God that I can love the man or job He has given me. Like the saying goes, a man that loves you more than God is not worth being with because its the love of God that stop we humans from doing evil to one another.

Well I hope this was helpful as this has been helpful to me..Have a wonderful and please keep my family in prayers as we lost 2 loved ones in 1 month, my aunt a week to my exam and my grandma 2 weeks after..

Activity of the Mind

Hello everyone and welcome to my new followers :-),

Today at church, my pastor spoke about how unforgiveness hinders alot of us from receiving God's blessings. We have to let go because its like trying to use the wrong key (unforgiveness) to activate (open the door to) God's promises. Unforgiveness can make you miss God's will for your life because you will be acting based on your emotions instead of letting God control your emotions. For example, Joseph didnt let the past stop him from moving forward i.e. he didnt hold the wickedness of his brothers to heart such that he became blessed even as a servant and as a prime minister in a country where he was not a citizen. It was with that heart of forgiveness that made him able to help his brothers when there was faminine in their hometown. Sometimes, we say we have forgiven but its very hard to let go. I am going through the school of forgiveness and I have learnt to learn from it whilst letting go so that in the future I will be more cautious when I encounter such situation.

Quick one here:
Recently I started remembering the ex and got really bitter, wanting to give him a piece of my mind and let him know how my life was almost ruined if not for God's grace and love for me. Then I realized, I hadn't gotten over everything, I still despised him so much the more I realize the truth, and still question how stupid I was. Na im I con ask myself wetin they worry me sef? the bobo is living freely while I am here being a prisoner of my emotions. Plus thing be sey if I give him a piece of mind, I will be at a loss na cos na me no go dey normal as per my mind go soon finish. Something said to me, remember you are at a point where you need God to help you in life decisions, the enemy is trying to use this unforgiveness to stop you from receiving from God; so, go to Him in prayer. Atfirst I ignored but then I did shakara and I did what I know how to do best. I ran to my father in heaven and told Him what was up, I spilled out everything including the words I wanted to say to the ex, I screamed, vexed, acted the way I will act if the ex was in my front oh. I came to a realization that the healing is ongoing and I need God's help so I dont get distracted by random thoughts. It was very soothing and I love the fact that I can tell God anything and He understands me. It gives me hope and assure me that I am safe, sane and not worry about anyone talking about me. I asked God to give me a heart of forgiveness and the ability to forgive so I can move on, stop being bitter and enjoy my life without bitterness renting apartment in my heart. I thank God for the courage, strength and ongoing revelation knowledge.


Lets not forget that the mind is like a playground where everyone comes to play. We have to be mindful of who we allow to come play. Picture a school playground, not everyone is allowed to play there else you are a student. However, on rare occassions someone might sneek in to play because the gatekeeper was either distracted or not at the gate. Same with our mind, lets be cautious least we allow the stronghold of the enemy take refuge in it. We do this by the constant renewal of our mind.

This week I encourage you to check what you let into your mind, check your thoughts; "cast down arguments (thoughts) and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corithians 10 vs 5). If you have difficulty dwelling a the right thing, Paul encourage us to "dwell on whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things arepure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you" (Phillipians 4:8-9).

If you are stuggling with unforgiveness, remember forgiveness is a choice not a feeling to do it. You have to choose to be let go so that you can be free and ready to be promoted by God. You can only achieve this by asking the Helper (Holyspirit) to guide you and grant you the grace to forgive and let go.

Cleaning a (wo)man's house

Hello Everyone,

How are things? I have been relaxing so far :-)..I hope your week is going well.. I know I am suppose to do the 10 random things about me..I will do so later.

So my discussion for today is when do you clean a guy's house. People say you clean your bf's house if you visit, and if you are married woman you berra be cleaning the house you and your hubby is staying vice versa.. Alright, so my question is when is it okay to clean a man's house? I was talking to a guy friend, and he said a friend came over to visit and she cleaned up the house and cooked. So he asked will I clean a male friend house or is it just limited to my bf or hubby?

Well my response was, I do not feel obligated to (i dont remember my exact response) because when I visit my girlfriends I dont clean their house just cook and eat. So, I would probably do the same with my guy friend.

So I throw the same question to everyone. I want to know your opinions :-)

7 things about me

1. I love reading and surfing the net not necessarily my textbooks..I believe the more you learn the more your brain grows but if you dont, then it becomes hard to hold an intelligent conversation. I just cant stand shallow conversation. I am that person in the room that just stare when the conversation gets that way or sometimes throw in one or two comment.

2. I love FOOD.

3. I cant eat food wit a hint of sugar or sweetness to it. I am still baffled at putting sugar in your beans or in boiling yam. I would rather stay hungry than have sugar in my meal. Even too much sugar in a cup of tea bugs me. Except soaking garri and snacks of course.

4. I am all about having what you demand from others. E,g if you want a rich educated healthy man, you should be the same.

5. When it comes to friendships I have my expectations and I expect you to have the same.

6. I love cars and anything hi-tech

7. I believe in complaining about something that bothers you but I also expect you to do something about it. If you aint ready to work on it, I will tell you to stop complaining.

Hello Friends

Hello everyone!

I am back :) thank you thank you for the patience and well wishes!..I missed blogville..Ha I feel good oh..I thank God for another month :)..Oya my post is going to be short jare..Someone should tell me what I missed out on..

Why are fathers side the evil side in marriage?  I ask because I have brothers oh, so does that mean I will be part of the evil side? ey ey..true story I hear people stories and its always the father/husband side that has the bad bad people..Oya let us discuss.

P.s RIP Steve Jobs..May God comfort your family and loved ones...Its good to know he died having fulfilled his dream...
